Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Marina Labs, Inc. ("Marina", "we", "us") handles information in connection with the Marina mobile application and the websites we operate (together, the "Services"). Marina is non-custodial software: we are built to know as little about you as possible, and this policy describes the little we do handle.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide. If you contact us, we receive whatever you include in your message, such as your email address. The Services do not require you to create an account or provide your name, email, or phone number to trade.
Wallet and blockchain information. When you connect a wallet, we process its public address and the public on-chain activity associated with it in order to display your balances, positions, and history. Blockchain data is public by design and is not created or controlled by us.
Automatic information. Like most software, the Services generate technical data such as device type, operating system version, app version, crash diagnostics, and coarse usage information. We use this to keep the Services working and to fix problems.
2. Information we never collect
Your private keys and seed phrases are generated and stored on your device (or in your own wallet) and are never transmitted to us. We cannot access, move, or recover your funds.
3. How we use information
- To provide, operate, and improve the Services.
- To determine which features are available in your jurisdiction.
- To respond when you contact us.
- To monitor for fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
4. Sharing
We share information only with service providers that help us operate the Services (such as hosting and crash-reporting providers), who may use it solely on our instructions; when required by law or legal process; or in connection with a corporate transaction such as a merger or acquisition.
5. Third-party services
The Services display data from, and submit transactions you sign to, public blockchain networks and third-party protocols that we do not operate. Their handling of information is governed by their own terms and the design of the networks themselves, not by this policy.
6. Retention
We keep technical and support information only as long as needed for the purposes above, then delete or de-identify it. Information recorded on public blockchains is permanent by design and cannot be deleted by us.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we handle. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including California and other U.S. states with privacy laws), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, and to opt out of certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below and we will respond as required by applicable law.
9. Children
The Services are not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date.
